SS Diesel Equipment’s CEO, Sam Stoltzfus’s passion to serve in the diesel-engine, off-highway industry grew on his family farm in Lancaster County, PA. He worked around off-grid sawmill power and maintained several diesel engines, rebuilding them in his dad’s farm shop.
In 2010, Sam expanded his knowledge, working for the local tractor repair shop. In 2015, SS Diesel Equipment officially began, growing out of a strong local need. A service truck was soon acquired for on-site service needs and new diesel engine and generator installations.
In 2017, we became a dealer for YANMAR Industrial Engines. YANMAR’s legacy of performance, dependability, and efficiency added significant value to our customers and other OEMs & repair shops, creating a reliable local source for diesel powerpacks and parts. In addition to YANMAR, other OEM brands, including John Deere and Cummins, were added, extending support of their parts and service in the off-road industry.
In 2022, our newest product line, known as ZPower Assemblies was added, engineered and assembled by SS Diesel Equipment technicians in our Peach Bottom, PA shop.
In 2023, we added YANMAR Construction Equipment to our dealership. With a passion for YANMAR, this has been a very exciting “next step” for our team. YANMAR Compact Equipment can now be purchased or rented at SS Diesel Equipment.
